- Be sure to complete your profile. Provide as much detail about your athletic abilities and achievements as possible. Don't forget to present your academic and other interests as well. Coaches want to know who you are and see that you are well rounded.
- Upload a current picture. A picture with your face clearly visible and nice smile will help present you in your best light.
- Consider making and uploading a short introductory video of yourself where you show a little of your personality and let College Coaches see who you are. This video could go something like "Hi, I'm Billy Smith and I am a junior at Dallas High School. I graduate in 2010. I play linebacker for the 2008 Texas State Champion Dallas Falcons. I also play basketball and lettered as a point guard last year. I plan to study engineering in college and want to continue my athletic career after high school. Thanks for your interest and let me know if you need more information about me."
- Upload video game clips that you have. Something is better than nothing. Today, video is what coaches want to see. It is like a high tech resume. Don't wait until you have a slick 3 minute highlight video to get started. Begin building your video library now. GameTapeTube.com will let you upload as many videos as you wish. Several short clips of great plays with a good description of what the video shows will go a long way toward letting Coaches know who you are.
- Upload one or two new clips each week as your season progresses. Building a video clip library will take time and effort. If you do a little each week, you will be well prepared to showcase your talent to College Recruiters.
