Start Building A Sports Highlight Video Archive

Many athletes think they should wait until they have the perfect highlight video complete with music and titles before they should post anything online.  Great highlight videos are built over time as plays or events that capture an athletes unique abilities and talents are recorded throughout the season.

We encourage everyone to upload short clips each week as the season progresses.  Be sure to use a video editing software like Windows Movie Maker or some other video editor to extract your best plays from the game footage you take each week.  College Coaches will not want to search through long game tapes to find you.

Each play or series of plays can be uploaded as separate video on GameTapeTube.com.  When you upload the video be sure to describe the play and tell the Viewers what this clip shows.  Be sure to write the position you are playing and your jersey number if applicable in the description as well.  This well help users search for you by position within GameTapeTube.com  as well as make you more "findable" in Google and other web searches.

Once Coaches have determined they have an interest, they may ask for raw game footage from several games.  If your high school coaches set up a free private team area, they can upload the raw game footage as private video only viewable by your team and college coaches they want to share that video with.  This way the raw game footage can be used for several players on your high school team.
