Deatrich Wise Jr. Defensive End # 55 Hebron High School (Carrollton, Texas) Prototypical size with room to bulk, Very good body strength for size... Reads and reacts very well to the ball ... Strong hand use and shed blocks well. Shows good instincts around the ball, Good body awareness in tight and open space. Wise gives a good second effort in run/pass plays. Has display himself as a finisher on plays with consistent motor. Wise has solid play strength. Agile enough to dive and make tackles. Balanced end against run and pass. Nice pass rush repertoire (swim, club, rip, etc.) Wise also takes solid angles to the ball. Shows very nice burst off the snap; good first step; Can redirects plays with his athleticism. Solid agility. Fairly polished for his age (16). Deatrich Wise could be a right/left defensive end in a 3-4/4-3 scheme with the potential to play defensive tackle. However Wise is more comfortable on the End position. Wise shows flashes of being solid college DE for 34or 43 scheme packages.
